The National Lottery Community fund has awarded a £10,000 funding grant to the Chesterfield based domestic abuse support charity, WORTH.

The funding recognises the changes the charity has had to make to adapt to the Covid-19 pandemic and to continue providing much needed long-term support for women affected by domestic abuse.

Robyn Riggans, CEO and Founder, said:

“Thank you so much to the National Lottery Community Fund and National Lottery Players for this support and making this possible.

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to an increase in the number of women seeking support and the demand for our services.

I’m so excited to see the change this funding will make to the work of WORTH as we expand the services and long-term support we provide for women affected by domestic abuse!.”
